Ixmucané

Last Wednesday we were present at a conference about environmental care that had as aim create conscience in the students about the environment preservation, and moreover, it was the beginning of a project started by old students of the preparatory.

"Ixmucané" is the project's name, and it was given by one of the guys on the team. It is some of the most important things we heard:

The humanity has found a house in the earth, the nature has given to the people all the resources necessaries to survive, and the people have deformed and destroyed the environment to obtain "a better place to live". But the true is that the human hasn't built a better place, the people are really egoist and in the attempt to advance they have killed innocent plants and animals, it means, EXTINCTION.

The extinction is when there`s no more animals or plants of the same specie in the world, lamentably some species are extinct like the dodo, but there's two kind of extinction, because the man and because the enviroment conditions are not adequate. Some extinct species because the enviroment conditions were the dodo bird, the tasmanian tigger, defenseless beast , etc. and some extinct species because the man were the redbellied gracile opossum, cave rat, eastern hare wallaby, mammoth, etc.

Apart from the extinction we need to take care of our environment. In the last decades the pollution has destroyed the environment, the pollution are divided in three types:

Atmospheric pollution: In the big cities, the pollution of the air owes as a result of the gas leaks of the internal combustion engines, to the domestic devices of the, to the industries. The polluted air, most CO2 is liberated in the atmosphere, like gases, steams or solid particles capable of being kept in suspension, with values superior to the normal ones, they damage the life and the health, of the humans, animals or platns, also destroys and modify the environment.

Water pollution: From always the man has overturned his tailing in the waters. In normal conditions the rivers can car be purified: the waters drag the tailing towards to the oceans, the bacteriums uses the oxygen in the waters and degrade the organic compounds, which in turn, are consumed by the fish and the water plants of turning the oxygen and the carbon to the biosphere. But as the humanity was progressing, this becomes increasingly difficult. Often the systems are saturated of tailing, and the industries overturn products that cannot be degraded by the bacteriums. All that does that the content of oxygen diminishes drastically, and that the river already does not have aptitude to support the life in it.

Soil pollution: The pollution of the soil is the presence of principally trash, and compound chemists done by the man or another alteration to the natural environment of the soil. This pollution generally appears when the tanks of underground storage broke up, application of pesticides, filtrations of sanitary landfills or of direct accumulation of industrial products.

One of the examples that we can see in Puebla, is the loss of the phermafrost in the volcano Popocatepetl, other example is the pollution on the river Amazonas.

For these reason we have to take actions to make a better place to live

Here are some of these actions, the 3R

REDUCE: we have to reduce the quantity of the products that we use in our daily routines.

Don’t forget that for make products we need water, energy, minerals, etc, that they cant be in dangerous for our actions. For these here are some advices for reduce

Chose the product whit out toxics and pollutants.

• Reduce in house, toxics products and pollutants.
• When you go to shop take whit you your own bags.
• Reduce the use of water and energy.

RECYCLE: when you go to shop see that the products that you buy are recycling because whit this we can use less products. The products that you can recycle are

· Paper and carton

· Glasses

· Metals

· Plastics

RE-USE: You can use some products over again for make less garbage:

· You can buy bottles whit re-use mode.

· Use the paper for both sides

· Give the clothes that you don’t use.

Heeeeeeeeey dums!! How are you? I hope cool, guess what? Today I’m going to talk about social webs. I have been a victim as many people of these sites, it is easy, you enter and decide to open an account in “X” social web and then you become an addictive person! DO NOT DO IT!!! I think it is cool to have one, and meaby put some pictures in your profile but put on it all your information and use this to meet people.

My space is one of the biggest social webs, you can find emos, punks, all kind of people, but the trend is the twitter, I thin that if you want to have an account to a social web you shold try with facebook. Another web sites are hi5, and metroflog, this is the worst of the worst, because it is no safety, all people can access to your profile without your permission, many people spend all time meeting people from all places in the world. In my humble opinion theres nothing as go out with friends than go out with extrange people.

I’m agree that sometimes it is fun because it is entertainment( that is another reason why you should visit our blog than the facebook) but if you are as a stubborn as a mule we give you some advises.

1. Be carefully from psy people, what is he/she is a killer
2. As I said, do not give all your personal information
3. Do try to have electronic friends

October 24th International Day of Climate Action

Hi dummie! Well, I was searching about the climate change and I found that tomorrow is the day of the Internacional Climate Action, so im going to write you about this.

While our leaders continue to talk about what's "politically possible," the world continues to warm and precious days are running. The latest science shows that runaway global warming is even closer than we feared. We can't continue to allow our leaders to sit back and play political games when our future is at stake. Thatss why on October 24th, Greenpeace is joining with 350 organizations and a broad coalition of groups to participate in an international day of action. Events are already planned in over 100 countries around the world. Some are big, some are small, but every single one of them is absolutely necessary. Including yours…

Science clearly tells us that only dramatic action can prevent global warming and its catastrophic impacts, and the world is looking to our leaders to, well, lead. In doing so, they need to think about the next generation, not the next election.

Why we must take care of the planet?

-Mexico occupies the fifth place in deforestation worldwide.
-More than 50 per cent of our forests they disappeared in the last 50 years.
-65 per cent of the original coverage of swamp of our country has disappeared.
-25 millions of peope live in vulnerability because the global warming.
-There is an increasing dependence of the oil and other fossil fuels.
-Most of the commercial fisheries is in the limit of exploitation.
-Every second, more than 205 thousand liters of waters without treating come to the sea.
-73 per cent of the available water in the country is contaminated and needs treatment before being destined for the human consumption.
-More than 80 per cent of the agricultural lands present some level of erosion.
-Every year, the field receives at least 15 thousand tons of pesticides that impress the soil, our food and to the peasants who produce it.
-The liberation of transgenics destroy the ecological diversity, especially the maize.
-80 per cent of the varieties of the maize disappeared.
-More than 30 million persons live in regions with bad quality of the air.

Now more than ever, we need you, we need that the world leaders act to stop global warming, and they need to hear from you dummie and everyone you know. We need thousands of marches, rallies, and vigils worldwide. The event you organise on October 24th will be part of the international cry for world leaders to do what it takes to stop global warming.

What do you do when you don’t have anything to do? Maybe, in this situation you spend your time surfing on the net, playing videogames or watching tv; but, have you thought about the advantages of reading? I think is a nice way to have good time, when don’t have anything to do.


Read books and newspapers is an open door to the imagination, when you read your brain draw mental pictures and create feelings, about the story you are reading, that you’ll never find in other side, there isn’t movie or show what can have the same effect in your system, because reading is a way to give to your brain exercise and stimulation.

Maybe, you hadn’t have the experience of read a whole book due to you don’t like reading, even you could think “reading is boring”, but if you give you an opportunity to read a book perhaps you’ll find a good friend.

There are a lot of topics and interesting stories saved in the books and you can elect the one that seems more interesting for you, try to read a little in your next free time and enjoy it.

I am sure read is one of the better ways to spend the time and have fun, it is better to watching TV and it gives you more benefits.

We all know the greatest Queen, an English rock band formed by Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taulor and the biggest Freddie Mercury in 1970! "We are the champions", "Somebody to Love", "A kind of magic", "Under Preassure" , "We will rock you" and "Bohemian rapsody” are songs very famoous, are icons of the music, as Mercury was. On 23rd November 1991 Freddie Mercury announced to the world that he had AIDS and the next day he died peacefully at his home, surrounded by family and friends. He remains the most high profile loss from the disease in the entertainment world and the news shocked fans throughout the world. As a tribute Bohemian Rhapsody, These Are The Days Of Our Lives was released as a double A-sided single to raise funds for the Terence Higgins Trust. It entered the United Kingdom chart at Number one, where it stayed for five weeks, raising over 1,000,000 for the charity and Queen became the first band to have the same single top the United King charts twice. In December of that year Queen had 10 albums in the UK Top 100. In 1992 Freddie was awarded posthumously the BRIT’s “Outstanding Contribution to British Music” and Days Of Our Lives won Best Single. On 20th April many of the world’s top stars joined Brian, Roger and John on stage at Wembley for an emotional tribute to Freddie. Definitely, Queen is one of the greatest bands ever!
